A downloadable game for Windows

You have approximately 14 hours of your life remaining. You know this because you live in a dystopia that chains a mortality countdown to your wrist. What do you do with your remaining time? Life goes on, ultimately. This short, cinematic experience explores the concept of transience. A GMTK 2026 Game Jam submission.

Development Details:

This is my submission for the GMTK 2026 Game Jam! Theme: Countdown. The development of this game began from an entirely blank project on Thursday 23rd of July, and the submitted package was done with 2 hours to spare on Sunday 26th July. I solo developed this myself. This includes Programming (Unreal Engine 5.6, Blueprints only), 2D Art (Photoshop, After Effects), 3D Modelling, Texturing, Lighting, Animation (Unreal), Score & SFX (FL Studio), Voice Acting (recorded myself, pitched and edited in FL Studio), Story, etc.

I used various third party assets to speed up development, all CC0/Attribution. Credits can be found in game on the title screen. Several of these assets simply provided a foundation and were heavily modified. NO GENERATIVE AI ASSETS, CODE OR USE IN ANY WAY.

This is my second game jam that I have participated in. I have had a blast and learned so much. The aim was to create something that stood out. A different experience to the rest of the submissions. In line with my own interests in storytelling, atmosphere, environmental design and cinematography.

If you played the game, please leave a comment! I'd love to know how you got on, and would love to try your game jam submission too!

That is exactly why I spent the time creating it, haha. I totally get the apprehension for windows downloads, especially larger ones in size. I really appreciate you giving it a chance!
